The deep bite continues to produce good fish for us. The last couple of days, we have caught fish a deep as 29 ft of water on Santone Football jigs, drop shots, swimbaits, umbrella rigs, and heavy spinnerbaits with a 5.5" LFT Live Magic Shad Swimbait.

Very good day today. Started with topwaters early and switched to LFT Magic Shad after that bite slowed. Dan caught some really nice fish on it before we moved out to deeper water for the rest of the day. Found fish in 15-28 ft of water and we dropped the hammer on them. Santone football… Read More »

Not much new to report. The same patterns continue to produce a few bites each day. The past couple of days, I've been able to catch a few fish on a Santone football jig and a drop shot out in 25-33 ft of water. This is quite a bit deeper than I normally fish this… Read More »

Overall, today was a pretty tough day for me. We started out catching some good fish on a crankbait, but once the sun came out around 9 a.m., that bite ended. We caught a couple on a Santone Piglet shaky head with LFT Zig Zag, but we couldn't get much going until later in the… Read More »

The last two days have been mirror images of each other - good early bite and then it slows down to a crawl. I fished two half day trips yesterday, so I got a chance to fish the late evening bite, and it definitely picked back up after 5:00. In fact, my client lost one… Read More »

The fishing on Fork is still pretty good if you're in the right place and doing the right thing. There were a lot of fish that made their move to the banks over the weekend to spawn, so I have a feeling that we are dealing with a lot of post-spawn females right now. Don't… Read More »

Overall, it was a pretty tough day for me today. We caught fish everywhere we stopped, but we never found a large concentration of fish today. Water temp at the ramp this morning was 58.7 and it warmed to 61 this afternoon. We caught most of our fish on drop shots and black/blue Santone jigs… Read More »

Had a half day afternoon this afternoon. We found the bite to be fairly slow this afternoon as we were only able to boat 5 largemouths and 5 HUGE white bass today. Water temps ranged from 52-53 degrees in the areas we fished.  The highlight of our day was Gus' first jig fish. I have… Read More »
