Happy Father's Day to all of you dads out there.
Not much new to report since my last post. Fishing has been up and down recently, with more slow days (10-14 fish) days than good days. I suspect that these little fronts that are moving through on a daily basis are at least partly to blame for the erratic bite.
We are still catching most of our fish from deep structure in the 21-31 ft range. It varies from hour to hour and day to day, so having good electronics that you can trust is a must. If you don't mark 'em, you typically won't catch 'em.
Carolina rigged LFT Hypersticks, Ring Fries, and Baby Ring Fries in chartreuse pepper have been working best most days, but a 3/4 or 1 oz Santone Football Jig in Pinto Beans and Carrots and Mexican Heather will put a bunch of good fish in your boat as well.
The morning bite is much better for me than the afternoon bite.
